Next week is the New Media Expo in Las Vegas (formerly known as Blog World).  I’ll be presenting on Blogger legal issues, as will entertainment and media law attorney Gordon Firemark.  We’ll preview the upcoming show and discuss some of the latest developments in Blog Law.

BNA Predictions for 2013

Several broad themes emerged from the hundreds of contributions received in response to Bloomberg BNA’s call for short, expert takes on noteworthy cyberlaw developments in 2012 and policy hotspots to watch for in 2013. Here are 10 of the most frequently mentioned predictions for the coming year:

1. ICANN new gTLD expansion will force trademark owners to adjust their online brand protection  strategies a

2. Continued battle overs control of the internet;

3.  Innovation v copyright laws battle yields continued litigation and push for legislation on Capitol Hill.
