Yesterday I attended UCLA’s celebration of Internet Day 2016 featuring Professor Leonard Kleinrock recounting the birth of the internet at UCLA on October 29, 1969 and a screening of the Wernor Herzog documentary “Lo and Behold: Reveries of the Connected World.” Below is a video of Professor Kleinrock’s presentation and partial Q&A.
The documentary features Prof. Kleinrock, but also spends a lot of time addressing artificial intelligence and fears that one day this great tool could be our master and/or lead to our demise. The film is thought provoking but misses the mark at times as well. More information on the film is available here.
Thanks to John Cosgrove of Cosgrove Consulting Group for the invite.
