I recently heard an interview with newscaster Katie Couric in which she quipped that she had been in the industry long enough that she can remember when “harass” was two words.
Those days may still exist in tech. A new survey commissioned by Women Who Tech provides some background on the state of harassment among tech workers and founders reveals that 53 percent of women say they have experienced harassment in the workplace.it, versus 16 percent of men.
With with the growing focus on harassment among VCs, it is worth noting 46 percent of women founder’s experienced harassment which included being propositioned for sex in exchange for funding.
