Professor Goldman will address the current status of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CaCPA) including the Attorney General’s workshops on the new law and his recent letter to legislature urging amendments to CaCPA signed by 41 privacy professionals.
Eric Goldman is a Professor of Law, and Co-Director of the High Tech Law Institute, at Santa Clara University School of Law. His research and teaching focuses on Internet, IP and advertising law topics, and he blogs on these topics at the Technology & Marketing Law Blog [http://blog.ericgoldman.org].

Professor Goldman has been a pioneer in documenting the emerging field of Emoji Law. He will be presenting on the topic tomorrow (February 12, 2019) at Santa Clara University Law School (details below).
In addition, our sister subcommittee in the Business Law Section is having a presentation on Emojis and the Law: The Evolution of Expression on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. The CLE will begin on Tuesday, February 12th, 2018 at 12:30 P.M.
